A new beginning

I thought that it was about time that I dipped my carefully manicured toe into the world of blogging!! Although  I am sure that the only follower will possibly be my mum(Hi Mum!!) who could possibly be interested in my ravings but here goes!!
Last night I had a fab night at the monthly 3 Jolly Scrappers crop and I was very productive. I have managed to sort out my album for the upcoming  CJ that the Rockin' Ribbon Raiders are starting on UKS shortly. After much deliberation I decided mine would be about my favourite books but even that was difficult choosing 9 books for people to create layouts about- but the decision has been made. In no particular order we have:

  • Cross Stitch- Diana Gabaldon- love the whole series of books
  • PS I love you-Cecelia Ahern- this book made me cry
  • Alice in Wonderland/Through the looking glass- love the Jabberwocky
  • Harry Potter and the Philosphers stone- what more can i say loved by me and the 2 kids
  • Breaking Dawn- am looking forward to seeing this on the big screen
  • Lean Mean thirteen - Janet Evanovich- exploding squirrels!!
  • The Boy in the Striped pyjamas- the book is so much better than the film
  • My Sister's Keeper- love the ending
  • The Famous Five- loved Enid Blyton as a child and read all of them but the five were my favs!!
As you can see I have really eclectic reading tastes.
I have chosen an American crafts album 8.5 x 11 for the basis and I have covered it in the lovely Cosmo Cricket Delovely range. As the album is so big I am just going to send the page protectors out to cut down on postage and album damage. Today I am hoping to do the sign in page using some tags and my likes/dislikes and I am ready to go!.I will post piccies later when the light is better to take some pictures.
I discovered that my trustworthy AMM tote is on its last legs the stitching is coming away at the seams so its time for a new one but what do I buy? I have left a post on UKS so I am hoping for some good advice from all the experts on there.
So there's my first post completed for anyone reading (yes Mum that's you) I hope it wasn't too boring.
